There are a lot of good resources available online to help you learn more about your house. Here are some of them:
The New York City Landmarks and Preservation Commission has a free Row House Manual a that is very helpful, even if your house is not in a landmarked district.

If you’re interested in going green(er), you can download the Green Row House Manual available from Municipal Art Society of New York.

For everyday quandaries, I usually turn to Old House Journal. As the name implies, they cover the gamut of old houses, not just row houses. The archives are vast and useful. You can also subscribe to the magazine, which I highly recommend.
Alex and Wendy over at Old Town Home have some great tutorials about all sorts of stuff. Not only that, but they maintain a fab blog. Go take a look if you haven’t already
